TEDxSalem seeks speaker applicants
Salem, Ore. – TEDxSalem, Salem’s independently organized TED-like event, is seeking speaker applicants for its Sept. 13 event.
This year’s theme is “Moxie.” The speaker committee is looking for experts in diverse fields who have new and dynamic ideas worth spreading.
“We picked the theme ‘Moxie’ because it is defined as a force of character, determination, courage and energy, which are all things we want in our speakers, our TEDxSalem event and our Salem community,” co-organizer Brian Hart said.
In hopes of giving interested speakers more time to apply, TEDxSalem organizers have extended the deadline to June 2.
Those who are interested should apply online at http://bit.ly/1lClhHI.
This is TEDxSalem’s second year. In its inaugural, sold-out event, speakers illuminated their audience with talks about death, music, cork forests, dining with strangers and more.
