Driver Attempts to Elude Salem Police

DRIVER ATTEMPTS TO ELUDE SALEM POLICE

Officer Diaz, a Salem Police motorcycle officer, attempted to make a traffic stop on a light blue 1994 Honda Accord at Wallace and Glen Creek NW at 9:45 this morning. The driver failed to yield and accelerated in an attempt to get away. The driver continued northbound on Wallace Rd with speeds varying between 70 and 100 mph.

The Oregon State Police had put out spike strips at the edge of Dayton. The suspect saw the spike strips, stopped, and surrendered. Taken into custody was Bradley Allison, 40 years of age. Allison refused to provide an address. He was booked into the Polk County Jail for Felony Elude, five counts of Recklessly Endangering, Reckless Driving, Fail to Present a License; and issued citations for Driving While Suspended and No Insurance.
